WELCOME TO BUCARAMANGA

Arrive at Palonegro International, Airport. (BGA), shuttle to hotel

Our tour starts from the city of Bucaramanga, capital of the department of Santander. Once you arrive, we will go to our clubhouse to get the bike ready in one of the best bike shops in the city. There will be time to have a good coffee and take a brief tour of the city. In the afternoon we will go to our hotel located in La Mesa de Los Santos.

FIRST RIDE, FIRST EXPERIENCES

Our  first gravel ride -  It will be a smoothroute with very short ascents. We will pass through the Saito del Duende viewpoint, a pine forest, a viewpoint of the Chica mocha River and we will have a coffee in one of the most recognized coffee farms in Colombia and the world. In the afternoon, we will have time to visit more places in Mesa de Los Santos.

CROSS THE CANYON BY CABLE CAR AND ENJOY BY RAFTING

After a short ride in La Mesa, we descend to Rio Chicamocha to take a gravel road of 9 miles until we arrive to Jordan.  We have time to rest, enjoy some natural pools and a typical lunch of the region. Then take a boat that will take us to Las Juntas, a unique place within the Chica mocha Canyon. Then we will move to our hotel in Barichara. *Rafting in Chicamocha River is optional.

EASY RIDE IN BARICHARA, MAGICAL TOWN

Today is a quiet bike ride. We will make our departure from the hotel to go to Villanueva, take an alternate route through stone workshops and colonial houses, until we reach Barichara. Then we will descend to Guane where we will have a picnic in the main park and then we will return to the hotel. In the afternoon we will do an activity in Barichara.

EPIC CLIMB FROM BARICHARA TO ZAPATOCA

This will be one of the hardest days on the bike. We will start from our hotel, passing through Barichara until we descend to the Suarez River. Then we will begin our ascent to Zapatoca, passing through the towns of Galan and La Fuente. In Zapatoca we will arrive at a hotel to rest and then go for a walk through its streets and get to know its tourist sites.

THE END OF OUR ADVENTURE

It is the last day of our tour. We hope you have enjoyed a demanding but enjoyable week of cycling in Santander with us. After breakfast, we will be attentive to take you to the airport or continue planning your trip through Colombia.
