Join us for this  4 day adventure add-on to an already amazing week in Chile, courtesy of our partners at Pucón Kayak Retreat!

Day 1

KAYAK ASSESSMENT + Hot Tub at retreat. Pending time frame.  Kayaking the Lower Liucura or Middle Trancura. This section is both exciting and beautiful. Return to retreat for hot tub and appetizers before dinner.

MULTISPORT OPTION. Hike to Mirador Leona. This is a 45 minute (each way) hike uphill with several breaks. Add time at overlook. While steep the breaks and short length make this a hikable afternoon for most anyone with hiking ability. Lots of bang for the buck... there are few hikes this short that offer the view of the laguna with the volcano as the photogenic backdrop. The timing aligns well with the whitewater kayaker group. Meet back at retreat for hot tub, appetizers and dinner at the quincho. 

Day 2 

Fire Lakes & Ice Brew – Lagos Andinos Trek & Cerveceria (brewery)

Out and back hike (3 to 5 hours TBD) 

We drive east into the high Andes where Volcan Lanin meaning “ice capped” straddles the Argentina – Chile border. The stratosphere volcano and glacial compaction formed a string of lagunas along the side of the volcano. Guests hike through the native Araucania or “Monkey Puzzle” tree forest crossing streams, passing lagunas and stopping for photos of the giant ever present Volcan Lanin.

(Rio) Puesco Cerveceria. If you are a beer lover then you are going to love tasting what we boast are Chile’s best brews. Right on Rio Puesco enjoy a variety of ales as we celebrate a breathtaking day of views.

Day 3 

Raft or Kayak Rio San Pedro (Class II to IV)) + Pucon Culinary Adventure

Full Day event. 

We drive 180 degrees south to the other side of Volcan Villarrica to the Volcan Rinimapu and Rio San Pedro drainage. Lago Rinimapu is one of the seven grand lakes of the Lakes District and overflows like a tub into the Rio San Pedro. Clear turquoise water builds in gradient to giant hay stack waves and rapids for a full day of rafting exhilaration. 

Celebrate your day’s adventures back at our quincho with appetizers, cocktails and dinner by the warm fire. 

Day 4 

Pucon Adventure Park (AM) + Volcano Hike Canyon del Turbio AKA Cerduo Park or Kayak Lower Trancura (PM) + Sommelier Presentation of Chilean Wines and Farewell Asado
